Your Coach:
A Level 1 Angling Trust Coach, Dave Eastwood has been an angler for over 30 years with vast experience across different coarse fishing venues and styles of fishing.
Be it Lake, River or Canal, Dave can help you on your fishing journey.
He is the Angling Columnist for Lincolnshire World media, Creator & Host of Two Pints of Maggots & A Packet of Hooks - The Fishing Podcast, the Angling/Media Consultant for Bait Company Teddy Fisher Baits and has featured in Improve Your Coarse Fishing Magazine a number of times.
With over a decade of experience in Learning & Development (more info in "About us" section) it is that deep knowledge of how people learn and retain information, along with his angling experience, that makes Dave's sessions different to other angling coaches.
Angling Lessons available...
Just like any sport, there are coaches to help increase knowledge and ability. Golf clubs have "Pro's", a gymnasium will have Personal Trainers, A swimming pool will have a Swimming Coach etc etc. Fishing is no different with lots of coaching available, but what makes East Midlands Angling Academy different?
We offer one to one tuition, webinars, online learning, group sessions, lessons for schools, competition coaching and intensive week long courses to suit all levels of experience from beginner to competition anglers. Naturally all anglers who successfully complete lessons recieve a "Catch" certificate!
We can offer bespoke courses and learning paths for individuals or groups depending on their learning needs...just ask!
Pole Fishing
Wether a beginner or seasoned Angler...Pole fishing offers the ultimate bait presentation and is one of the number ways of catching coarse fish. Learn how to use balanced tackle and feeding regimes to increase catch rates.
Feeder Fishing
Learn the basics or enhance your knowledge of all forms of Feeder Fishing on a variety of venues. Learn about feeder rigs, casting and accuracy to enhance your catch rates.
Float Fishing
The most traditional and still an effective way of catching fish is using a rod and reel. Covering Waggler, Stick Float, Slider or Pellet Waggler fishing. Learn how to cast, feed and increase catches.
Beginners & Kids
Introducing anybody (especially kids) to fishing can be daunting. Will they get bored? What if they do not catch anything? What if they fall in?! Maybe you just want to try fishing or want to build knowledge to grow a hobby into a passion. Bring along your own tackle or use ours and begin catching more!
